I submitted 3 designs in the NCAFA logo contest. The fair has just recently built a post and beam style barn and a windmill. Knowing the structures to be iconic of the fair (and the NCAFA being very proud of them) I decided to use them as elements in the design.

I wanted a design that would look good in solid color but also present well in a few rustic colors. My design with both the barn and the windmill won the contest.
